The Chöd Changbu Tröma Sādhana is the root (changbu) Chöd sādhana of Dakini Tröma Nagmo, belonging to the Vajrayāna Nyingma tradition of Dudjom Tersar.
It is a core practice aimed at cutting through ego-clinging, directly realizing emptiness, and unifying wisdom and great compassion through the method of self-offering (Chöd).
This sādhana places particular emphasis on the transformation of fear, attachment, and subtle self-grasping, through the visualization in which the practitioner offers their entire body, speech, and mind as the supreme offering to the Buddhas, Dākinīs, and lineage Masters. In this way, the practitioner cuts through the very roots of ignorance, craving, and self-clinging—the foundations of saṃsāra.
Chöd Changbu Tröma is regarded as the foundational practice, forming the basis for the higher Tröma sādhana cycles, especially the advanced practices within the Tröma Nagmo system of the Dudjom Tersar lineage. This practice requires the practitioner to possess a stable foundation in discipline, concentration, and wisdom, as well as proper reliance on an authentic lineage teacher.
Although this is a restricted sādhana, it may be respectfully requested and kept for veneration until the appropriate conditions arise for reading and practice.
To read and practice this sādhana, one must have received the empowerment of Dakini Tröma Nagmo, or at least the oral transmission (lung), together with the guidance of a fully qualified lineage master. Practitioners are respectfully requested to uphold the essential samaya vows of this tradition.
This sādhana text consists of 70 pages, printed in full-color laser on ivory paper, size 16 cm × 24 cm.
