Lingdro Dechen Rolmo – Chapter III

The Main Dance: Invoking the Blessings of the Dakinis

Within the sacred series of Lingdro Dechen Rolmo – The Sacred Dance of King Gesar, Chapter III continues the Main Dance, in which the female practitioners raise their voices in song to invoke the blessings of the Dakinis.

If Chapter II invokes King Gesar and the army of Dra-Lha Werma, Chapter III opens the sacred feminine dimension of Lingdro: the presence of the Goddess of Emptiness, the Great Mother, the Dakinis, and Tara.

In the Vajrayana tradition, the Dakini is not merely a symbol of sacred beauty. She is the embodiment of wisdom, emptiness, compassion, and blessing. Through song and dance, the practitioners offer body, speech, and mind, while opening their hearts to the compassionate presence and enlightened activity of the awakened feminine principle.

Chapter III is especially moving through the image:

As a daughter can never forget her mother,
so too I do not forget, but supplicate you.

This image expresses the intimate, heartfelt bond between the practitioner and the Dakini — not as something distant, but as a living source of blessing remembered within the heart.

The Main Dance

༈ ལེའུ་གསུམ་པ། བྲོ་གཞུང༌།
DE NE BUDME NAM KYI NI.
Then the female practitioners raise their voices in song.

གླུ་ནི་འདི་ལྟར་བླངས་བར་བྱ། །
LU NI DITAR LANG-WAR JA.
The song should be sung in this way.

ཨོཾ། སྟོང་ཉིད་ལྷ་མོ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་མཚོ་མོ། །
OM! TONG-NYID LHAMO CHOKYI TSOMO.
OM! Goddess of Emptiness, ocean of Dharma.

མ་ཚོགས་མཁའ་འགྲོ་འབུམ་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། །
MATSOK KHADRO BUM DANG CHE-TEY.
Together with the assembly of one hundred thousand Dakinis.

བག་བྲོ་གཟི་བྱིན་ཐིབས་སེ་བྱོན་ནས། །
BAK-DRO ZIJIN THIB SEY JOEN NEY.
Please descend in graceful splendor, radiant with blessings.

གཡོན་གྲལ་ལྷ་ཡི་བྲོ་ལ་ཞུགས་ཤོག །
YOEN-DREL LHA-YI DRO LA ZHUK SHOK.
Please take your place in the left row of the divine dance.

མོ་རྒྱུད་མཛེས་མའི་བྱིན་ཆེན་ཕོབ་ཅིག །
MO-JUE DZEMEI JINCHEN PHOB CHIK.
Please bestow the great blessings of the beautiful female lineage.

བུ་མོས་ཨ་མ་བརྗེད་པར་མི་སྲིད། །
BUMOE AMA JEPAR MI-SID.
As a daughter can never forget her mother.

ངས་ནི་མི་བརྗེད་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ། །
NGE NI MI-JEY SOLWA DEB-SO.
So too I do not forget, but supplicate you with devotion.

ཡིད་ལ་དྭངས་སྨན་ཌཱཀྐི་དྲན་ནས། །
YID-LA DANGMEN DAKI DREN NEY.
Remembering the Dakini within my heart.

རྐང་པས་བྲོ་དང་ལག་པས་གར་སྟབས། །
KANG-PEY DRO DANG LAG-PEY GAR TAB.
The feet begin the dance, and the hands reveal the sacred gestures.

ངག་གིས་གདུང་དབྱངས་ལྷང་ལྷང་སྒྲོགས་ནས། །
NGAG-GI DUNG YANG LHANG LHANG DROK NEY.
Speech rises as a clear, yearning melody, resounding with devotion.

མཁྱེན་པའི་ཉི་མ་གསལ་བའི་མཁའ་འགྲོ །
KHEN-PEI NYIMA SEL-WEI KHADRO.
Dakini, radiant with wisdom like the sun.

བརྩེ་བའི་ཟླ་བ་རྒྱས་པའི་ཡུམ་ཆེན། །
TSEWEI DAWA GEY-PEI YUM CHEN.
Great Mother, whose compassion is full like the moon.

བྱིན་རླབས་གློག་ལྟར་མྱུར་བའི་དྭངས་སྨན། །
JINLAB LOK-TAR NYURWEI DANGMEN.
Pure Maiden, whose blessings flash swiftly like lightning.

རྒྱལ་ཡུམ་བཀྲ་ཤིས་གསང་བའི་ལྷ་མོ། །
GYALYUM TASHI SANG-WEI LHAMO.
Auspicious Secret Goddess, Mother of the Victorious Ones.

འཛུམ་པའི་ཞལ་རས་སྟོན་ལ་བྱོན་ཤོག །
DZUM-PEI ZHELREY TOEN-LA JOEN SHOK.
Please come and reveal your smiling face.

སྙན་པའི་གསུང་དབྱངས་སྒྲོགས་ལ་བྱོན་ཤོག །
NYEN-PEI SUNG YANG DROK LA JOEN SHOK.
Please come and let your melodious voice resound.

དགྱེས་པའི་ཐུགས་ཀྱིས་དགོངས་ལ་བྱོན་ཤོག །
GYE-PEI THUK KYI GONG LA JOEN SHOK.
Please come with joyful mind and compassionate care.

བྱིན་རླབས་བརྡ་རྟགས་སྟོན་ལ་བྱོན་ཤོག །
JINLAB DA-TAK TOEN LA JOEN SHOK.
Please come and reveal the signs of blessing.

ཕྲིན་ལས་བྱིན་ཆེན་ཕོབ་ལ་བྱོན་ཤོག །
THINLEY JIN-CHEN PHOB LA JOEN SHOK.
Please come and bestow the great blessings of enlightened activity.

ལུས་ངག་ཡིད་གསུམ་མཆོད་པ་འབུལ་ན། །
LUE-NGAG-YID SUM CHOPA BUEL NA.
As we offer body, speech, and mind.

མ་གཡེལ་ཐུགས་རྗེས་དགོངས་ཤིག་སྒྲོལ་མ། །
MAYEL THUK-JEY GONG SHIK DROLMA.
O Tara, please do not forget us; look upon us with compassion.

མ་ཡིས་བུ་མོ་བརྗེད་པར་མི་སྲིད། །
MA-YI BUMO JEPAR MI-SID.
A mother can never forget her daughter.

མ་བརྗེད་ཡོད་ན་ད་ལྟ་ཕེབས་ཤོག །
MA-JEY YOENA DATHA PHEB SHOK.
If you have not forgotten, please come right now.

ཕེབས་ནས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་བྱིན་རླབས་མཛོད་ཅིག །ཨ་ཏེ་ཧོ་ཡ།
PHEB NEY TASHI JINLAB DZOE CHIK. ATEY-HO-YA.
Please come and shower this place with auspicious blessings. ATEY HO YA.
