Guru Rinpoche – Padmasambhava, the Lotus-Born Master

Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) is widely revered as the Second Buddha, whose power of blessing and protection for all sentient beings is unequaled.
He is an emanation of Amitabha Buddha (Buddha of Infinite Light) and simultaneously the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times — past, present, and future.
For this reason, the blessing power of Guru Rinpoche upon this world is considered supreme and unparalleled.

Most especially, the protective and blessing activity of Guru Rinpoche becomes increasingly vivid, powerful, immediate, and effective during times of degeneration, in the age of decline known as the Degenerate Age (Kali Yuga / the Age of Dharma Decline).

🪷 In the Pema Kathang and many Terma (revealed treasures), Guru Rinpoche prophesied that around the year 2030, the world may face an unprecedented global calamity.
However, out of his boundless compassion, within the same prophecies he also bestowed clear instructions and methods for future generations who place their faith in his protection, on how such catastrophic events may be averted or mitigated.

These sacred activities include:

• Creating and installing statues of Guru Rinpoche as widely as possible

• Establishing stupas

• Hoisting prayer flags on high lands and mountain peaks

• Joining together in the recitation of mantras and prayers to Guru Rinpoche

• And engaging in other virtuous and sacred activities

Wherever a statue of Guru Rinpoche is present, his blessings and protection are present.
With this aspiration, we pray that statues of Guru Rinpoche — consecrated and empowered by Sonam Tashi Rinpoche — may be established throughout Vietnam and across the world, serving as sources of protection and blessing in this degenerate age.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE STATUE

• Height: 27 cm (10.6 inches)
• Material: Gilded bronze, inlaid with gemstones
• Origin: Produced in Tibet
• Crafted and hand-painted with great care by skilled artisans in the Nepalese statue-making tradition
• As each statue is hand-crafted and hand-painted, no two statues are exactly identical

CONSECRATION & EMPOWERMENT

All statues will be ritually filled, sealed, and consecrated by Sonam Tashi Rinpoche according to the Dudjom Tersar lineage of the Nyingma tradition.

The consecration includes sacred substances from the lineage, such as:

• Medicinal and ritual substances

• The fingerprint seal of Dudjom Rinpoche II

• Relic materials and sacred fabrics of the lineage masters

• And other specially transmitted sacred substances
