Black wire counter
Product Code: G12
A small metal counter shaped like a vajra pestle and a bell is clipped onto a string of 108 beads to count the number of mantra recitations.
This is the pair of wisdom and skillful means , the minimum symbol of Tantric Buddhism.
-
Vajra (diamond scepter) → means, great power, firmness.
-
The bell (Ghanta) → wisdom, emptiness.
- The pair of counting symbols represents the unification of wisdom – the means in all practice.
How to use
-
Attach the diamond pestle hook to the right side of the main (Guru) bead.
-
Attach the bell hook to the left side of the main bead (Guru).
-
Diamond pestle hook: used for counting in tens (10, 20, 30,…)
- Bell-shaped counting: used for counting units from 1 to 10 small beads.
-
When you have moved all 10 small beads on the pestle hook → you have completed 1080 mantra variations . Then switch to the pestle hook to move 1 bead on it to calculate the tens digit (10 × 1080 = 10,800 variations).
→ Highly suitable for practice in Ngondro or other deity practices.
