PURE WATER VASE (the vase on the left)
The pure water vase (round vase, without a spout) – also known as the vase on the left – contains pure water, imbued with blessed energy, especially the energy of longevity practices.
The vase is placed on the altar as an offering for longevity to the deity or spiritual teacher.
The mouth of the vase resembles a blooming lotus, symbolizing a pure mind; the round, bulging body symbolizes compassion; and the water inside is the nectar of wisdom.
USE:
- Prepare clean water, you can mix it with safflower water.
- Place the vase in front of the Buddha statue or deity you are practicing with (if you have one vase).
- Placed to the left of the statue, symmetrically positioned with the vase on the right (the purification vase).
